Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Evenings Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS Must-Have: 2 years of experience, ability to work with first-time travelers Description: Registered Nurse needed for the Emergency Room. The nurse will assess and treat patients with a variety of conditions. The unit handles an average of 70 patients daily. Nurse to patient ratios are typically 1:3-4, depending on acuity. The nurse will be expected to care for mixed patient holds within the ER. There is a need for flexibility, as travelers may float during their shifts. The unit operates with a Level III STEMI and Stroke Receiving designation. Patients include those with cardiac issues, strokes, and general emergency needs. The facility values punctuality and strong attendance. Training will be provided for system and unit-specific processes. Nurses will need to obtain critical certifications prior to contract signing. RNs will manage common drips used in an emergency setting. Respiratory Therapists are available for support within the ER. All required laboratory draws will be conducted by phlebotomy staff. The schedule includes working every other weekend with holiday rotations included. Travelers will work collaboratively with permanent staff members. There is no standby or call requirement for this position. The dress code includes navy scrubs, with optional navy scrub jackets. Unit-specific orientation is structured based on individual experience. This role may be suitable for candidates with a diverse emergency nursing background.
