Technical Delivery Director, Infrastructure Major Projects

Your Opportunity Reporting to the Major Projects Leader, and working collaboratively with the Major Projects Director APD, the Technical Delivery Director is responsible and accountable to drive best‑in‑class project delivery and lead overall project execution and resourcing for the Infrastructure Major Projects Group. The position includes accountability for the design management and delivery team, and the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Manager, and overseeing the technical delivery, resource planning, digital delivery, QA/QC, and HSSE programs, to deliver high quality, technically excellent projects on time and within budget. Your Key Responsibilities Major Projects are defined as projects that have potential for significant financial and/or reputation impacts to Stantec and include all Alternate Project Delivery (APD) projects (Design Build, Progressive Design Build, Construction Manager at Risk, Public Private Partnership, Engineering, Procurement and Construction, Integrated Project Delivery and Alliances). As Major Projects Technical Delivery Director (TDD), you will participate throughout all phases of APD projects including staff assignments, pursuit delivery, project delivery, construction phase engineering services, and project close out. General Responsibilities Collaborate with the Major Project Director of Alternative Project Delivery to ensure adequate staffing and delivery or pursuits and projects. Work with the Major Project Director of Alternative Project Delivery and Major Project Leads to facilitate assignment of the Design Manager and technical resources during the pursuit, delivery, and construction phases. Facilitate assignment of the Quality Management and Technology Management resources during the pursuit and project delivery phases. Specific Responsibilities Project Management, Project Technical Leadership and Delivery – Create and lead high performing Design Management and technical teams to meet delivery, schedule, and quality objectives. Team Management – Create high performing teams that effectively collaborate to deliver projects across Infrastructure as well as cross‑BOU projects. Responsible for overall project resource planning and coordination on major projects. Project Participation – Perform role of Design Manager and/or Principal‑in‑charge on certain pursuits and projects. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or comparable technical, business, or professional degree Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of skills and experience P.E. (Professional Engineer licensure) Position will primarily work in an office setting. Occasional business travel will be required.
