Apple Valley Villa , a Cassia community is hiring a  Receptionist/ Caregiver to join our team in  Apple Valley, MN. Join our team where your compassion and commitment to quality care are truly valued. As a Receptionist at Apple Valley Villa , you will  cover the front desk as needed. You will greet visitors, answer and route phone calls, help with administrative tasks, and provide exceptional customer service to guests. As a  Caregiver,  you will provide person-centered care to our residents, supporting them with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as showering/bathing, shampooing of hair and medication administration while promoting dignity, independence and well-being. Caregivers will additionally be med passing.  Our ideal candidate is passionate about working with seniors, has the ability to multi-task and assist with administrative support, and is friendly and professional in all situations.

Position Type: Part-Time, working weekdays and every other weekend and every other holiday

Shift Available:  
Evenings 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM  Cares & Med Passing (Part-Time)

Wage Range: $17 - $20 / hour Depending on experience. 

Location: 14610 Garrett Ave, Apple Valley, MN 55124 Receptionist/ Caregiver Responsibilities:

• Provide routine nursing care and services to our residents
• Administer medications to residents as needed
• Communicate any resident concerns with licensed nursing staff
• Assist in resident emergencies
• Answer and transfer incoming phone calls as needed
• Manage phone communications coming into the facility.
• Greet visitors and guests professionally, warmly and determine their nature and purpose of visit.
• Direct and/or accompany visitors and guest to appropriate destination.
• Perform various typing assignments and miscellaneous clerical duties for all departments as needed.
• Perform additional tasks as requested.

Receptionist/ Caregiver Qualifications:

• Med Passer experience preferred but not required
• HHA, PCA or CNA experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent with previous customer service or reception experience.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Place a high priority on customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to prioritize and organize multiple tasks.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Able to work with frequent interruptions.
• Dependable, punctual and able to work flexible hours.
