Coverage Dates
- August 10, 2026 (7:00 AM) - August 17, 2026 (7:00 AM)
- December 29, 2026 (7:00 AM) - January 4, 2027 (7:00 AM)
- Ongoing future availability available
Schedule
- 24-hour call coverage
- 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM
- Hospital rounding and procedures performed during approximately 8 hours onsite daily
- Rounding schedule is flexible based on consult volume
Practice Setting
- Hospital and call coverage only
- No clinic responsibilities
- Solo Gastroenterology coverage while on assignment
- No additional Gastroenterologist onsite during coverage periods
- No supervision of other healthcare providers
Patient Volume
- New patient consults: 1-2 per day
- Daily rounding census: 5-6 patients
- Endoscopy procedures: Approximately 1-2 scopes per day
- ERCP volume: Approximately 1-2 procedures per week
Support Staff
- No NP support
- Registered Nurses in Endoscopy Suite
- CRNA support for procedures
Required Procedures
- Colonoscopy
- Biopsy
- Polypectomy
- Proctoscopy/Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
- Hemorrhoidal Banding
- Upper GI Endoscopy
- PEG Placement
- Esophageal Variceal Banding
- Banding Lesions for Acute GI Bleed Management
- Dilation Procedures
- Management of Hospitalized GI Patients
Highly Preferred Procedures
- ERCP
EMR
- Epic
Credentialing
- Approximately 60-90 days
Requirements
- Board Certified Gastroenterology required
- Active North Dakota license highly preferred
- Pending North Dakota license accepted
- IMLC accepted
- BLS required
- DEA required
- Experience in General Gastroenterology required
- ERCP certification and experience highly preferred
