Multifamily Sales Executive – Cabinetry

Highland Cabinetry Colorado is looking for an experienced Multifamily Sales Executive to take ownership of our growing multifamily business.

This is a highly independent, hands-on sales role. You will be responsible for creating opportunities, developing relationships, estimating projects, negotiating pricing and contracts, closing business, and ensuring a smooth transition to our Operations and Project Management teams.

This is not a traditional account-management position. We are looking for someone who can hunt for new business, build relationships, win projects, and grow accounts.

What You'll Do

Business Development

• Develop relationships with multifamily developers, builders, general contractors, and trade partners
• Prospect and identify new multifamily projects and opportunities
• Get involved early in the project development and bidding process
• Attend builder meetings, networking events, and industry functions
• Maintain consistent communication with current and prospective customers
• Build a pipeline that supports aggressive revenue growth

Estimating & Proposals

• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Complete cabinet takeoffs and prepare accurate project estimates
• Coordinate pricing with vendors and internal departments
• Identify and present value-engineering opportunities
• Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals
• Manage multiple opportunities and deadlines simultaneously
• Maintain accurate estimating and sales information in Salesforce

Negotiation & Closing

• Develop pricing and sales strategies
• Negotiate pricing, scope, and contract terms
• Secure signed contracts, purchase orders, and change orders
• Clearly define scope, pricing, expectations, and responsibilities before the project is awarded
• Build relationships that create repeat business and long-term accounts

Project Handoff

You will own the sales process through contract and ensure every project is properly transitioned to Operations and Project Management.

This includes:

• Approved plans and specifications
• Scope of work
• Signed contracts
• Pricing and budget information
• Customer expectations
• Project timelines
• Special requirements or potential concerns

Sales Performance

• Own the multifamily sales pipeline and forecast
• Meet revenue and gross margin goals
• Track opportunities and activity in Salesforce
• Develop strategic accounts and new business opportunities
• Take ownership of results from first contact through signed contract

What We're Looking For

• Proven sales experience in multifamily construction, cabinetry, building materials, or a related industry
• Established relationships with developers, builders, general contractors, or multifamily trade partners
• Strong ability to prospect, estimate, negotiate, and close
• Experience reading plans and specifications and preparing construction estimates
• Understanding of construction contracts, project scope, and bidding
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Highly self-motivated and comfortable working independently
• Organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Competitive, entrepreneurial, and results-driven
• Comfortable using CRM and sales tracking systems

This Role Is For Someone who likes to own the number.

You will not be handed a book of business and expected to maintain it. You will be expected to create business.

You will find the opportunity, build the relationship, put the estimate together, present the solution, negotiate the deal, close the contract, and make sure the project is set up for success.
