Forklift Operator
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to work in a cold storage warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and organize products while maintaining efficiency and accuracy in sub-zero or refrigerated conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts (stand-up, sit-down, reach truck, or pallet jack) safely in cold storage conditions
- Load, unload, move, and stack products according to warehouse procedures
- Pick and stage orders accurately for shipment
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance issues
- Follow all safety, food safety, and OSHA guidelines
- Work in freezer and refrigerated areas for extended periods
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Use RF scanners or warehouse management systems as required
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation (FIFO)
Work Environment
- Cold storage environment (freezer and refrigerated temperatures, may be below 0F / -18C)
- Required use of cold-weather protective gear (provided or required)
- Physically demanding role, including standing, lifting, bending, and reaching
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification)
- Previous warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Ability to work in cold temperatures for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Schedule
- Full-time
- Shifts may include nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
