We’re looking for an experienced Interior Designer who brings strong design ability, great organization and follow-through, and a desire to grow professionally.The PositionThis is a hands-on design position with the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, including luxury residential, model homes and community/commercial spaces.We’re looking for someone who can take creative direction and run with it. You should be comfortable sourcing furniture and lighting one day, working in AutoCAD or developing specifications the next, communicating with a contractor or vendor, preparing a client presentation, and ultimately seeing the project through installation.The ideal person is creative, resourceful, thorough and organized, with enough experience and confidence to take increasing ownership of projects over time.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in interior design projects from concept through completionDevelop and execute design concepts with senior creative leadershipSource furniture, lighting, rugs, artwork, accessories, fabrics, finishes and materialsPrepare AutoCAD drawings and design documentationDevelop specifications, schedules and client presentationsWork within established project budgetsCoordinate with architects, contractors, vendors and tradesTrack project details, open items, deadlines and outstanding decisionsParticipate in client meetings and project presentationsConduct site visits and assist with field and construction-related design issuesParticipate in project installations, including occasional overnight travelWork across luxury residential, model home and community/commercial projects as neededWhat We're Looking For3+ years of professional interior design experienceStrong portfolio demonstrating excellent design ability and visual judgmentProficiency in AutoCADStrong FF&E sourcing and specification skillsExperience with furniture, lighting, textiles, finishes, artwork and accessoriesWorking knowledge of architectural drawingsStrong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detailAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritiesExcellent communication and presentation skillsProfessional and comfortable interacting with clients, contractors, vendors and other design professionalsSelf-motivated, resourceful and willing to take ownershipModel home experience is a plus, but luxury residential, hospitality, multifamily or other relevant interior design experience will be consideredDegree in Interior Design or related field preferredMust live within reasonable commuting distance of our Costa Mesa officeMost importantly, we are looking for someone who is talented, capable, collaborative and fun to work with.
