TX-STAR Speech Language Services works with school districts across Texas to provide specialized support for students with speech, language, and communication needs. We are currently seeking Speech-Language Pathologists for school-based opportunities in the San Antonio area.

These positions are ideal for clinicians who are committed to helping students strengthen their communication abilities, participate confidently in the classroom, and gain greater access to their educational experience.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will evaluate students' communication needs and provide individualized services designed to support academic participation and functional communication.

In this role, you will:

• Complete comprehensive speech and language evaluations using appropriate assessment tools and procedures

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Program goals and student-specific therapy plans

• Provide direct speech-language therapy in individual and small-group settings

• Address communication needs involving articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency, voice, and related areas

• Track student performance and revise therapy strategies according to progress and assessment data

• Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary team members

• Participate in ARD and IEP meetings and provide clinical findings, progress updates, and recommendations

• Prepare accurate evaluations, service logs, progress reports, and other required documentation within established timelines

• Maintain knowledge of current clinical practices, special education regulations, and district procedures

Qualifications for This Position

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field

• Current Texas license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist

• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology preferred

• Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply, with supervision available

• Familiarity with IEP procedures, special education services, and school-based clinical practices

• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and time-management skills

• Ability to work effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams

• Previous experience serving pediatric or school-based populations is preferred

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus
