The Lead Therapist provides high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services and oversees daily

staff workflow. This role bridges clinical leadership and therapy delivery, ensuring clients receive

consistent, compassionate care while supporting the development of therapy staff. The Lead Therapist

also serves as a point of contact for staff and interns for administrative and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide direct ABA therapy to clients according to individualized treatment plans developed by a

BCBA.

• Support skill acquisition in communication, social interaction, play, self-help, and behavior

reduction programs.

• Assist in data collection, graphing, and reporting progress to the supervising BCBA.

• Model effective intervention strategies for therapy staff.

• Manage assigned cases and ensure session quality and consistency.

• Monitor completion of RBT certification and competencies.

• Support staff session needs and address client or session-related challenges promptly.

Leadership & Oversight

• Mentor, train, and provide on-the-job coaching to Behavior Therapists/RBTs.

• Assist with onboarding and competency training of new staff.

• Monitor treatment fidelity and provide feedback to ensure program integrity.

• Serve as a team lead during sessions, group programs, and community integration activities.

• Communicate staffing concerns or clinical needs to the supervising BCBA.

• Collaborate with the scheduling team and BCBA to assign cases and support new/current staff.

• Handle call-outs, coverage, and on-call matters as needed.

• Reassign clients appropriately when cancellations occur.

Family & Team Collaboration

• Maintain professional communication with parents/guardians, encouraging family involvement in

the therapeutic process.

• Support coordination across teams to ensure smooth operations and consistent care delivery.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Behavior Therapist (RBT).• Must be available to work at least 30 hours per week.

• Must have reliable transportation.

• Must be able to work 4-6 evenings at least 2 days per week.

• Must be able to work Saturday sessions at least once per month.

• Minimum 2+ years of experience providing ABA therapy, with proven leadership or mentorship

experience.

• Strong knowledge of ABA principles, data collection, and behavior intervention strategies.

• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
