Occupational Health & Safety Specialist

We are seeking an Occupational Health & Safety Specialist to develop, implement, and oversee workplace safety programs, ensuring OSHA compliance and adherence to safety standards. Key responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments; investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions; managing workers' compensation and coordinating return-to-work programs; and supporting emergency response planning. Collaboration with HR and production teams is essential to deliver safety training, monitor workplace hazards such as dust, noise, and ergonomics, and ensure proper PPE use. The role involves supervising Safety & Sanitation Technicians, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting environmental health initiatives. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field, with 3-5 years of manufacturing safety experience. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to conduct investigations and implement corrective measures. Supervisory experience and proficiency in recordkeeping are preferred. Additional duties involve working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, noise, and equipment, requiring adaptability and safety awareness.
