MIG Welder Trainee for Tank Fabrication - 1st Shift

Position Title: Welder/Welder Trainee Wage: $19.45-$32.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a Welder/Welder Trainee for a company in Darien, WI. This is a temporary role. Welder/Welder Trainee Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Perform MIG and occasionally TIG welding according to instructions and following safety guidelines - Weld tanks according to the industry’s needs; tanks need to be leak proof and pressure tested - Check to make sure the holds are in proper place - Read blueprints for accurate procedures - Perform precision smoothing, polishing, or grinding of stainless steel objects - Generally perform MIG welding techniques Welder/Welder Trainee Requirements: - Must have some welding experience, preferably experience in MIG welding - Some industrial experience is preferred - Able to withstand a hot environment - Must be able to bend, reach, and stoop as needed throughout the day - No lifting requirements - May choose to lift parts for easier access; 50 pounds occasionally throughout shift - Able to work with minimal supervision QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
