HVAC Technician

Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:Performs mechanical repairs and maintenance to assigned areas.Operates HVAC equipment including remote auxiliary equipment.Takes frequent readings on all gauges on all property equipment and refrigeration equipment and maintain logs.Checks all air handling units once per week and programming A/C schedules for all meeting rooms daily.Performs all maintenance including preventive maintenance.Responds to all emergency conditions.Assists General Maintenance on technical problems.Assists the manager in emergency situations.Performs preventive maintenance to all equipment and record history in log.Orders and receives materials related to area and maintain orderly inventory.Familiarizes self with and completes all paperwork associated with preventive maintenance program.Maintains good housekeeping practices in shop and work areas.Assists in other areas in repairs.Maintains knowledge of property information and memorabilia.Adheres to department and property policies and procedures.Competencies:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Must be able to exercise initiative and a sense of urgency.Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.Keen attention to detail.Strong tactical skills.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all employees and guests.Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.Maintain flexibility to handle changing priorities.Must have basic mathematical skills. Five years' experience in mechanical.
