Supply Chain Manager

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, and logistics. This role ensures alignment between customer demand, production capacity, and material availability to achieve on-time delivery and cost objectives. The Supply Chain Manager drives process improvements, develops high-performing teams, and implements strategic sourcing and planning initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and support business growth.Responsibilities:Business Performance MetricsAchieve on-time delivery performance targets in alignment with business objectivesReduce material lead times by optimizing supplier stock plans and developing alternative sourcing strategiesImprove customer lead times through effective material planning and coordination with production schedulingOptimize inventory levels using item and supplier analysis methodologiesManage and reduce shipping and tariff costs through data-driven analysisPrevent stock-outs and production line disruptionsTeam Leadership and OperationsLead and develop the procurement team to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materialsOversee the production planning team to align schedules with inventory, labor, and customer demandManage shipping and receiving operations to ensure accurate and efficient processingBuild and maintain supplier relationships; negotiate contracts to achieve favorable termsProcess Deployment and Continuous ImprovementMonitor and manage inventory to balance production requirements and inventory levelsIntegrate planning across procurement, production, and logistics to optimize efficiency and reduce lead timesImplement best practices in shipping and receiving to minimize delays and errorsImprove order entry processes to enhance accuracy and streamline workflowsFoster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and teamworkDefine and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain effectivenessPrepare and present reports on supply chain performance, risks, and improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and quality standardsStrategic ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with production and financial goalsIdentify opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvements, and increased efficiency through strategic sourcingEvaluate and manage outsourcing relationships, ensuring performance meets quality and delivery expectationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experienceMinimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or a related function within a manufacturing or production environmentMinimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership or people management roleStrong leadership and team development capabilitiesDemonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-informed decisionsExperience with ERP and MRP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics and/or SAP)Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functionsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in planning and executionAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentPreferred Qualifications:Advanced degree in a related fieldProfessional certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCP, CPIM)
