Job Summary and Qualifications The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director. The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center. The Registered Nurse provides care for adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 50 years. Our fast-paced, high-acuity, and high-volume Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit is a specialized, critical care environment. Manage complex pregnancies, rapid childbirth, and emergency interventions simultaneously. Environment defined by intensity, constant activity, and the need for quick, precise, and possible life-saving decisions. Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340 bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson County’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Women's & Children’s healthcare services. We offer the region’s only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU.
