Position Information The Lactation Consultant I provides clinical care support and education to breastfeeding mothers and their babies. The Lactation Consultant shall also provide consultative support and education to nursing medical staff and community breastfeeding support groups. Experience Requirements 2 years clinical experience in breastfeeding Teaching and facilitation of learning required Education Required Graduate nursing required College courses in nursing required Licensed RN required Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred Licensure/Certification Requirements Registered Nurse required International Board Certified Lactation Consultant required within one year of hire Hours of Work 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Weekend Requirements As needed.
