Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW/MSW) – Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatry - Fulltime

Ally Psychiatry is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Master of Social Work (MSW) to join our growing inpatient behavioral health team in Opp, Alabama . This position offers the opportunity to work in a 14-bed Geriatric Psychiatry Unit at Mizell Memorial Hospital , where you'll play a vital role in helping older adults navigate mental health challenges while supporting their families through treatment and discharge planning.

This is a full time position and we are looking for someone who is ready to make an immediate impact, and we'd love to hear from you. Ally Psychiatry is also happy to provide a supervisor for those individuals seeking to become full LICSW's!

Position Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and intake screenings
• Provide individual and group therapy for geriatric psychiatric patients
• Assist patients and families with community resources and support services
• Develop and coordinate comprehensive, safe discharge plans
• Collaborate with probate courts and other legal entities as needed
• Work closely with psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and the interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure exceptional patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Requirements:

 

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in social work or related field
• MSW - LMSW 
• Experience in inpatient or geriatric mental health care preferred
• Strong communication, advocacy, and organizational skills
