Capernaum Team Leader - Northern Twin Cities, MN

Job Specific Working Conditions The Capernaum Coordinator in NTC will lead the team starting Capernaum in our area, train and develop the leader team, lead club/campaigners, spearhead contact work, and work with families and community members to establish a presence and reach all types of kids in the Northern Twin Cities. This is a part-time 15-20 hour/week position. Mission Staff Through both training and direct field ministry experience, learn how to lead and participate in effective Young Life ministry. Ministry Functions Spiritual Development — “Following Jesus” includes prayer and spiritual disciplines, fellowship, growth and health and church relationships. Leadership Development — “Equipping leaders, committee and staff” includes key volunteer care, recruiting, team building and training, supervision and vision casting. Resource Development — “Fueling the ministry” includes events, major donor care, public relations (branding) and TDS team. Direct Ministry — “Proclaiming and modeling” includes contact work, club, Campaigners and camp. Ministry Support — “Taking care of business” includes accounting, administration, communication (internal), data management and strategic plan. Training None is required. RTD training events such as New Staff Training, Winter Training, Focus Conferences and Young Life University are available on a request basis with approval of the regional director. Regional Training There is no mission-wide regional-level training curriculum. At the regional director’s prerogative, certain regional training events may be required. Area Training Actively engage in training provided by area leadership. Individualized training supervised by the area director designed to develop personal spiritual maturity and enhance personal character. Individualized program to learn and gain competency in ministry skills (e.g., The 5 C’s). Become familiar with area strategy and ministry health as assigned by the area director. Introduction to personal fund-raising principles including familiarity with Basic Elements for Part-time staff. Education College degree preferred.
