Supervision and Team Management:

i. Manage a team of packaging operators, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance.

ii. Provide leadership and guidance to the packaging team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.

iii. Train new employees on packaging processes, equipment operation, safety procedures, and quality requirements.

Packaging Operations:

i. Oversee and coordinate packaging activities, ensuring that products are packaged correctly, efficiently, and in a timely manner.

ii. Monitor production schedules and prioritize packaging tasks to meet customer demands and deadlines.

iii. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for packaging processes, quality control, and safety protocols.

Quality Control:

i. Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that packaging meets the required standards and specifications.

ii. Conduct regular inspections and quality checks of packaged products to identify and resolve any issues or defects.

iii. Collaborate with the quality assurance department to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.

Equipment and Materials Management:

i. Oversee the operation and maintenance of packaging equipment, ensuring proper functioning and minimal downtime.

ii. Coordinate with maintenance personnel to schedule preventive maintenance and repairs of packaging machinery.

iii. Monitor and manage inventory levels of packaging materials and supplies to ensure uninterrupted production.

Continuous Improvement:

i. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in the packaging operations.

ii. Implement efficiency by collecting and analyzing production data.

Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.

Safety and Compliance:

i. Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for packaging employees.

ii. Comply with regulatory requirements and company policies related to packaging processes, materials, and labeling.

iii. Conduct regular safety inspections, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent accidents or injuries.

Documentation and Reporting:

i. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of packaging activities, including production reports, batch records, and inventory data.

ii. Generate performance reports, productivity metrics, and other relevant documentation for management review.

iii Communicate packaging status, issues, and improvements to management and other stakeholders.

Bilingual- Spanish speaking is required.
