Reports To: Home Store Retail Director / General Manager

Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

FT, PT, PRN: Full-time

Shift: Monday - Friday 8AM - 4:30PM, with one Saturday a month

Location: Hospice Home Store- Henderson County, Warehouse, Buncombe County, Transylvania County

Position Summary:

Responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and pickup of all donations and the operation of Home Store trucks. Load and unload donations from residences and businesses to truck and vice versa. Deliver items sold at the retail store or warehouse to the customer and pick up donated items as required. He/she also assists with transfer and movement of merchandise between locations and placement of furniture within the stores or warehouse. He/she also assists with Warehouse sale preparation and sale events as well as maintaining proper inventory levels. Serves as a Four Seasons ambassador throughout the service areas.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Work to achieve performance goals, pursue progress toward individual development plan (IDP) and demonstrate Four Seasons values and competencies

• Represent the values of Four Seasons in the community as an ambassador when picking up donated items and delivering sold items by:
  1. Respecting the customer/donor and providing excellent, courteous, and gracious customer service
  2. Act in a positive and professional manner when providing service to the community as an employee of Four Seasons utilizing the Four Seasons values
  3. Handle donated and delivered items with respect, care, and safety
  4. Pack or wrap donations to protect them from damage during transportation, storage and/or shipping
  5. Adhere to company moving policies and procedures to pack, unpack, load and unload all goods
  6. Provide tax receipts for donated items
  7. Respect donor’s property and wishes

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the Four Seasons commitment to co-workers

• Assist with parking lot and Foundation events as well as Home Store projects as needed
• Respect the property of Four Seasons by:
  1. Driving with care, courtesy, and respect for other drivers, pedestrians, and animals on the road
  2. Obeying all traffic laws and regulations
  3. Operating trucks in a way that is safe for cargo, other vehicles, and pedestrians
  4. Reporting any mechanical concerns to the Retail Director and Logistics Manager
  5. Certify by signature the completion of the daily driver’s vehicle inspection report
• Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record which consists of:
  1. No more than three (3) moving violations or more than one chargeable accident during the previous thirty-six (36) months
  2. No major convictions such as driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, reckless driving, etc. within the past seven (7) years
  3. No drivers’ license suspensions or revocations within the past seven (7) years
  4. Responsible for notifying manager of any traffic violations, tickets and/or warnings tickets

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience:

• Some driving and loading of delivery and/or large vehicles (Due to liability insurance requirements, must be 21 years old to operate a delivery and/or large vehicle)

Licensures & Certifications: (if applicable)

• Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance

Summary of Physical Requirements:

• Hand dexterity including pushing/pulling
• Lifting or carrying/pushing/pulling of 100 lbs.
