Project Hope, Registered Behavior Technician - Part Time

Position Summary:The Project Hope RBT is responsible for the direct implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programming with clients at Westside Children’s Therapy, under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Providing predominantly play-based therapy, the Project Hope RBT will support Westside clients in the development of a wide variety of skills. The Project Hope RBT exclusively provides services during evening and weekend hours.Essential Functions:Implement direct therapy services for assigned clients and caseload, following programming written by BCBAEngage with BCBA during regular supervision sessions to ask questions and receive feedbackCollect and record data on patients behaviorComplete and submit required documentation (SOAP notes, etc) in a timely manner, aligned with Westside's policies and proceduresDevelop strong relationships with the children on your caseload and strive to make every session a fun experienceRequired Education, Experience and Credentials:High school diploma or equivalentActive RBT certification upon startKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Proactive problem-solver who works effectively with minimal supervisionStrong verbal and written communication skillsCompetence with a variety of computer applicationsFriendly and engaging personality with a strong ability to connect with children and familiesPersonal Attributes:Collaborative spirit and willingness to work as a teamPassion for working with children with special needsPatient with the ability to redirect clients frequently and compassionatelyAccountable for personal behavior and performanceReceptive to feedback with a commitment to personal and professional developmentConsistency and reliability to ensure continuity of careWork Environment and Physical Demands:Ability to learn and implement de-escalation skills for client sessionsAbility to lift or carry 30 lbsAbility to work in a variety of positions, including on the floor during played-based therapyTravel RequirementsOccasional travel to Westside Children's Therapy clinics to provide client coverage as requested/neededSchedule: Monday through Friday 3 - 7 pm and Saturdays from 8 am - 2 pm #J-18808-Ljbffr Westside Children's Therapy
