Plans and manages time to accurately perform and enter all required quality control, patient radionuclide and/or contrast administration data, and exam charges by the end of each workday. Assists in inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and performing surveying process as well as maintaining stocked exam rooms with necessary supplies. Performs a wide range of Nuclear Medicine and CT procedures, demonstrating proficiency with camera acquisition, scanners, injectors, and computer processing. Utilizes two patient identifiers to confirm patient/exam accuracy before continuing with patient examination. Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of patient care. Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions. Explains procedures to patients and aseptically administers radionuclide and/or contrast using standard precautions and PPE. Ensures equipment meets all quality control requirements and performs patient examinations using age-specific care techniques. Performs high-quality imaging examinations in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis. Presents completed exams and patient historical data to radiologist/cardiologist for review and assists with image manipulation or additional imaging as requested. Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks. Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
