About the Role
We are partnering with a well-established organization in the agribusiness, food processing, and transportation/logistics industries to hire an Accounting & Operations Coordinator. This position will support both accounting and fleet operations, helping ensure accurate reporting, timely Accounts Payable processing, and effective use of trucking software for a fleet of approximately 100 trucks. The organization operates across multiple business areas, including food production, logistics, and agricultural services. Job Description
The Accounting & Operations Coordinator will play an important role in supporting day-to-day accounting functions while also assisting with operational reporting for the company’s transportation division. This position will be responsible for learning and using trucking software to help manage tax and device reporting requirements for a fleet of approximately 100 trucks. In addition, this role will support Accounts Payable processes, maintain accurate records, and work closely with internal teams to ensure information is processed efficiently and accurately.

• Learn and use trucking software to support fleet-related reporting and documentation
• Assist with tax reporting related to trucking and transportation operations
• Support device reporting for company vehicles and fleet equipment
• Process Accounts Payable transactions, including invoices, approvals, coding, and payment preparation
• Review invoices and documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Maintain organized financial and operational records
• Communicate with internal departments to gather information, resolve discrepancies, and support reporting needs
• Assist with month-end reporting or reconciliation tasks as needed
• Help ensure accounting and operational processes are completed accurately and on time
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency within assigned accounting and reporting responsibilities

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

• Previous experience in accounting, Accounts Payable, administrative accounting support, or a related role
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial and operational data
• Ability and willingness to learn trucking, fleet management, or industry-specific software
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with accounting, operations, and transportation teams
• High level of dependability, confidentiality, and follow-through

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Experience with Accounts Payable processes in a corporate or operational environment
• Previous experience in transportation, logistics, agribusiness, food processing, or fleet operations
• Familiarity with truck/fleet tax reporting, mileage reporting, device reporting, or related compliance documentation
• Experience using accounting software, ERP systems, or fleet management platforms
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new processes quickly
