Position: Doughnut Decorator (Processor) Brand: Krispy Kreme Reports To: General Manager Job Overview The Doughnut Decorator / Processor is responsible for processing, finishing, and packaging Krispy Kreme products according to brand standards to ensure high-quality, fresh, and visually appealing products. This role supports shop operations by maintaining product quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction while reflecting the high standards of Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation. Key Responsibilities Product Processing & Quality Inspect products for quality according to Krispy Kreme handling and storage standards. Apply fillings, icing, glazes, and toppings according to approved recipes and procedures. Package products accurately and attractively according to company standards. Place unprocessed products on screens or racks following production guidelines. Monitor products during Hot Light hours and pre-pack hot products as required. Monitor and restock the front showcase to maintain a full and appealing appearance. Maintain and update waste logs accurately. Guest Service & Brand Support Provide friendly and courteous service to guests when needed. Display excellent customer service skills to promote a welcoming shop environment. Answer guest questions regarding products and promotions when assigned. Engage in suggestive selling and upselling when interacting with guests. Assist guests with carrying large or multiple-item orders. Conduct shop tours when requested or assigned. Maintain working knowledge of Krispy Kreme history, products, and current promotions. Shop Operations & Inventory Restock production and packaging areas to ensure sufficient fresh supplies at all times. Utilize maintenance, production, and cleaning logs as required. Cross-train in retail, sanitation, and load-out functions as assigned. Support other shop operations during peak periods as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Cleaning & Sanitation Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary processing and production area. Clean and sanitize equipment, racks, screens, tools, and work surfaces. Sweep and mop floors and remove trash. Clean restrooms and exterior areas as assigned. Perform any other cleaning or side work tasks assigned by management . Physical Requirements & Work Environment Physical Activity Standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and grasping. Writing, reading production labels, and completing logs. Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects. Communicating with shop team members, guests, and management. Use of production equipment and other shop technology, as permitted by applicable state age requirements. Physical Requirements Standing and walking for extended periods during the work shift. Lifting and carrying ranges: 0–10 lbs: Frequent 11–25 lbs: Frequent 26–50 lbs: Occasional with assistance 51–75 lbs: Seldom; team-lift only Pushing and pulling approximately 10–40 lbs of force occasionally. Frequent use of hands for grasping, handling, decorating, and packaging products. Work Environment Work performed primarily in shop production and processing areas. Exposure to heat, noise, wet or slippery surfaces, and cleaning chemicals. Fast-paced environment with variable schedules, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. Cognitive Demands (ADA/FEHA-Compliant) Ability to follow detailed production and decorating procedures. Ability to maintain attention to quality, accuracy, and food safety standards. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Non-Essential Skills & Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous job stability preferred.
