Georgia Local Government Access Marketplace The Carroll County Water Authority (CCWA) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Purchasing Manager at its administrative office in Carrollton, Georgia. The Purchasing Manager performs specialized administrative work in purchasing, acquiring a wide variety of commodities for all CCWA departments and divisions.Work involves purchasing supplies, equipment, and services at the desired specifications, grade and quality.Duties include the timely acquisition of goods and services at favorable prices for CCWA.The Purchasing Manager will negotiate prices and contracts with vendors, and monitor inventory levels to meet operational demands.The employee will also be responsible for formal bids and obtaining quotes for projects.Performing these duties requires frequent contact with vendors and CCWA team members, as well as sound, independent judgment.The position is responsible for purchasing decisions subject to review by the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required for the position.A candidate with 5 or more years of experience in purchasing is preferred.A Bachelor of Business Administration degree or related field is preferred. Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000. Compensation is commensurate with experience and skills.
