Job Description
TITLE: CT Technologist

SCHEDULE: Sun - Wed, 2100 - 0730

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 30

REQUIREMENTS:
- Completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school.
- Meets requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Up to one year experience in CT is desirable.
- Certified in CT is preferred.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct and assist personnel in performing CT examinations, ensuring proper patient care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
- Prepare and position patients for scans following departmental procedures, effectively explaining risks and obtaining necessary consent.
- Operate CT scanners proficiently according to manufacturer specifications and departmental standards.
- Administer IV contrast agents safely while monitoring patient conditions before, during, and after scans.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and establish rapport with patients and their families.
- Assist with student technologists in proper exam performance and ensure ongoing education and compliance with current certifications.
