Bus Driver - Part Time

Bus Driver - Part Time Pinecrest Academy seeks a part‑time school bus driver with a valid CDL driver's license. The bus driver transports students and authorized personnel to and from athletic events, class field trips, and school retreats during the academic year with summer months off. Responsibilities The Bus Driver will report to the Transportation Manager. The Bus Driver ensures that the bus can be operated safely before driving and conducts pre‑trip inspections as federal and state laws require. The Bus Driver obeys all traffic laws and transportation practices outlined in the CDL Manual and Pinecrest Academy’s procedures in the employee handbook. Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses and keeps all emergency exits clear of obstructions. The Bus Driver will report all accidents immediately, request police or ambulance service as needed, assist injured persons, and complete all required accident reports. The Bus Driver exercises responsible leadership and appropriate behavior, which conforms to Pinecrest Academy’s policies and procedures, including proper dress attire. The Bus Driver must maintain a commercial driver’s license (CDL) as required by the Facilities Department. The Bus Driver must maintain a current Red Cross first aid/CPR certification. Requirements A valid CDL driver's license and current Red Cross first aid/CPR certification are required. Applicants must be able to conduct pre‑trip inspections and adhere to all safety regulations.
