This position is responsible for the technical operations area of the bank with a specific focus on deposit and electronic banking operations. The individual is engaged with core processing and support as it relates to bank operations and banking application software. Additionally, the candidate is responsible for process improvement to achieve efficiency and in assisting to meet the bank’s overall strategic goals. The position requires detailed knowledge of bank operations and regulations and is responsible for overseeing functions related to all operational audit procedures, federal and state regulations, and company policies and procedures.

A stable work history establishing experience with understanding federal and state bank regulations, understanding bank operations, process analysis, and working with confidential information is required. 

Location can be anywhere within Bonvenu's footprint in North or South LA - within a reasonable drive to at least one branch and must be able to travel to Shreveport, LA when needed. 

Qualifications:

• 5+ years back office/operations or related experience
• Project Management experience preferred
• Ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines
• Commercial and Consumer banking product knowledge essential
• Knowledge of Electronic Banking regulations
• Thorough understanding of the NACHA Operating Rules & Guidelines
• Risk & Compliance monitoring experience preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Interest and knowledge of AI or other methods to increase efficiency (workflows, BOTs, automation)
• College degree preferred
• Industry Certification preferred relevant to bank operations.

Position Requirements:

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, complimented by strong interpersonal skills
• Required to effectively interact with senior management, branch management, Board of Directors, co-workers, and customers.
• Must demonstrate strong managerial skills, good organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively. Must have good judgment skills and a thorough working knowledge of all essential banking functions.
• Exhibits strong leadership skills, which include, but are not limited to initiative, integrity, innovation, and the ability to think strategically.
• Possesses an in-depth understanding of the technical and functional components of the bank’s operations and information systems infrastructure.
• Should demonstrate courtesy poise, self-confidence and professionalism in manner, speech, appearance and performance of duties.
• Should have a desire to perform all aspects of a job with excellence; should be a “self-starter” and forward thinker; must have proven ability to react positively to a changing environment as well as a strong work ethic.
• Must have proven ability to develop staff for utmost productivity. Must stay current with regulatory requirements pertaining to bank operations.
• Initiative, dependability, ability to work with a minimum of direct supervision and demonstrated desire to stay aware of and follow bank policy and procedures is essential.

Specific Job Functions

• Possess strong understanding of Operations and oversees medium to large, complex functions.
• Ensures timely delivery of operations services to both internal and external customers.
• Engages in independent decision making which could involve substantial risk.
• Analyzes existing processes in order to identify, recommend, and/or implement improvements to obtain efficiencies and meet strategic goals.
• Works closely with members of management to adhere to bank-wide policies and procedures as they relate to the general operations of the bank.
• Provides constant and exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers in order to uphold the Bank’s customer service oriented image and mission.
• Operates efficiently by effectively working within established specifications, budgets, and deadline to ensure quality and cost effectiveness.
• Daily core and complimentary systems processes monitoring in accordance with stated operational and compliance policies
• Lead special projects as assigned by supervisor
• Responsible for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to the position
