Quality Inspector

The Quality Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring EXALTA products meet customer specifications, internal quality requirements, and applicable regulatory standards (medical device manufacturing experience is a plus). This role is responsible for performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections using precision measurement equipment, with a strong preference for hands‑on experience with Keyence, Sylvac, and/or Starrett systems. The inspector will interpret engineering drawings, apply GD&T, accurately document results, and support the control of nonconforming product. This position partners closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance to provide inspection results in order to quickly identify issues, support investigations, and drive corrective actions. The Quality Inspector involves inspection of products made in‑house and supplier purchased products. The product is inspected through various high precision measurement equipment. It involves reading, understanding, and following work policies and procedures while working in a team environment. This position will help EXALTA Group maximize the number of patients served while maintaining a high level of quality and safety. RESPONSIBILITIES Support operations to achieve optimal product quality. Document inspection results and operate inspection equipment. Create Non‑Conformance (NC) if part(s) inspected do not meet the required specifications. Read measurement reports and provide feedback to engineers, machinists, and fellow team members. Perform routine Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) inspections and conduct 100% inspections as required, including inspections for in‑house and purchased manufactured semi‑finished and finished goods. Inspect for conformance to specifications, drawings, and inspection requirements using various visual, physical, mechanical, and/or electrical evaluations. Navigate high precision equipment such as CMMs, Keyence, and Vision Systems. Participate in Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R) measurements. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with general shop safety and OSHA requirements. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED High School diploma required. 1 year of equivalent work experience preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Technical Competencies Basic computer skills (following standard operations procedures, navigating OneDrive/SharePoint). Basic math and print reading. Fundamental or basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Ability to perform basic inspection techniques. Ability to locate priority orders and check their status through ERP system. Behavioral & Basic Skill Competencies Team player with ability to work cooperatively with others. Positive attitude. Strong active listening skills and the ability to follow directions, learn, and adapt. Effective verbal and written communication skills with various departments.
