Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, UNION is dedicated to restoring America's industrial strength and guaranteeing deterrence for the century ahead.As a Maintenance Technician IV, your primary responsibility is to serve as a subject matter expert in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role plays a critical part in driving equipment reliability, leading complex problem-solving efforts, and supporting strategic maintenance and operational initiatives within a Factories-as-a-Stockpile environment. You will be expected to perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of CNC machines, forging presses, conveyors, and automated systems.Responsibilities include:Leading advanced diagnostics, repair, and optimization of complex manufacturing systems including CNC machines, forging presses, and automated production equipmentServing as the primary technical resource for resolving critical equipment failures and downtime eventsAnalyzing maintenance and equipment data to identify trends and drive reliability improvementsDeveloping and refining preventive and predictive maintenance programsSupporting design, installation, and commissioning of new equipment and facility systemsLeading cross-functional efforts with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve equipment performanceProviding technical leadership, training, and mentorship to maintenance personnel across all levelsSupporting implementation and troubleshooting of PLC and control systemsEnsuring compliance with all safety standards, including lockout/tagout and OSHA requirementsAssisting in capital planning, spare parts strategy, and maintenance process improvementsSupporting audits, documentation, and regulatory compliance activitiesDriving continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime, efficiency, and cost reductionOther duties as assignedSkills and preferred knowledge:Expert-level troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsStrong experience with CNC, forging, and automated manufacturing equipmentAdvanced knowledge of PLC systems, controls, and automationDeep understanding of reliability engineering and maintenance strategiesAbility to analyze data and drive process improvementsStrong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skillsKnowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologiesRequired qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree or certification strongly preferred)10+ years of progressive maintenance experience in manufacturingDemonstrated leadership in complex troubleshooting and system optimizationExperience with advanced automation and control systemsPhysical demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
