Nuclear Medicine Technologist-Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center: Part Time Varies

Job Description Responsible for preparing and rendering radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies, utilizing a variety of equipment while following prescribed procedures. Principal Accountabilities Mix stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculate doses, and administer doses under the direction of a physician. Calibrate equipment. Perform diagnostic studies on patients as prescribed by a physician, using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect emitted radiation and produce images of organs on photographic film. Measure radioactivity using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors. Administer therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under the direction of a physician. Follow radiation safety techniques in use and in the disposal of radioactive materials. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications HS Diploma or equivalent experience. Current license with the NJDEP in nuclear medicine. Registration or certification by ARRT, NMTCB, or CAMRT. Relevant Experience 1+ year preferred.
