Travel Medical ICU Registered Nurse - $1,966 per week

Overview TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel Nurse RN in the MICU – Medical Intensive Care Unit for a 13‑week assignment in Kansas City, Kansas. Job Details Specialty: MICU – Medical Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 hours Shift: 12‑hour days Employment type: Travel Responsibilities Evaluate and monitor patients in an intensive care unit setting. Provide direct care to patients in life‑threatening situations, including documenting and performing physician‑directed care. Assess and implement patient care plans, and delegate tasks to other care providers as appropriate. Provide education and support to patient families, including for long‑term care needs. Provide basic bedside care. Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions. Order and evaluate diagnostic tests; take samples for lab work, order and interpret results. Monitor and adjust specialized equipment; interpret and record electronic displays. Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads, and tubing. Communicate patients' conditions to family members. Requirements 1–2 years of recent acute care experience. ACLS and BLS certifications. Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. Capacity to lift at least 20 pounds; ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Ability to handle exposure to chemicals or infectious diseases.
