Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients in Labor and Delivery per established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and other disciplines.
• Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, monitor maternal and fetal status, and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, progress, and outcomes; ensure infection control and patient safety protocols are followed.
• Collaborate with the care team to support smooth transitions of care during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.

Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• Labor and Delivery or obstetric nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (3x12 schedule)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Ability to complete facility credentialing and onboarding processes for travel assignment
