As Remitly enters its next phase of growth, you will help design the next version of our organization - a more AI-enabled, global, and multi-product company. You'll bring a forward-looking perspective, challenge the status quo, and help translate business strategy into organizational outcomes that enable long-term growth.Lead & Develop the People Partners TeamLead, coach, and develop a globally distributed team of People Partners, setting a high bar for strategic impact and executionEstablish trusted relationships with senior leaders across the organization as a thought partner who understands their business, goals, and challengesPartner across Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Development to deliver integrated solutions that drive business outcomes - keeping the business needs at the forefrontOrganizational Design & Workforce StrategyPartner with business leaders to design organizations built for the next phase of growth, not just today's headcountGuide leaders through workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and team effectiveness decisionsChallenge assumptions and bring data, judgment, and business context to organizational and talent decisionsModel AI-forward working and help leaders understand what AI means for their teams, roles, and ways of workingTalent, Performance & LeadershipPartner with leaders to build high-performing teams and strengthen leadership effectiveness across the organizationDrive talent management, performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement programsAnalyze and improve employee engagement, performance and the end-to-end employee experience Employee Relations & Organizational HealthIdentify systemic themes across employee relations cases and proactively address root causes before they become organizational risksAdvise and coach leaders on complex situations including performance management, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and organizational changePartner with Legal and Compliance to ensure adherence to employment laws across all geographies where Remitly operatesExperience12+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4–5 years leading HRBP or People teams in a high-growth tech or fintech environmentProven track record leading global or multi-regional People Partner teams — setting vision, developing talent, and holding a high barDeep expertise in Employee Relations, including complex investigations, performance management, and multi-jurisdiction employment law complianceExperience leading the people workstream through M&A activity — from due diligence through integrationStrong background in organizational design and change management in fast-paced, ambiguous environmentsExperience owning full talent management cycles: performance, succession, leadership development, and engagementSkills & MindsetAI-curious and tech-forward — comfort with AI tools, people analytics platforms, and a track record of using data to drive smarter decisions, not just reporting on themSystematic thinker with a data-driven approach to identifying trends, diagnosing root causes, and measuring impactStrong business acumen — you understand how the business makes money and you connect people strategy directly to business outcomesCourageous and direct — you give honest feedback at all levels, including up, and you do it with careHigh tolerance for ambiguity and a bias for action; you can drive clarity in a complex, multi-stakeholder environmentMission-aligned — you genuinely connect with what Remitly is doing for its customers and the communities it servesCompensation DetailsThe starting base salary range for this position is typically $208,000 - $260,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
