Physician - Pediatric Hospitalist Part Time

We are seeking one part-time qualified physicians to join the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine. The primary locations of this role include the Pediatric Acute Care Center, a new hybrid model at Endeavor Health Northwest Community Hospital. Pediatric care will include pediatric evaluation of Level 2-5 ED pediatric patients, consult on Level 1 ED pediatric patients, attend to extended stay patients, and conduct initial evaluations of adolescent psychiatry patients. The dedicated care team includes board-certified pediatric hospitalists, pediatric emergency medicine physicians, advanced practice providers, and specially trained nurses. You'll have access to pediatric subspecialists through the Chicagoland Children's Healthcare Alliance. The second location is Evanston Hospital, including Infant special care unit. Time spent at each location can vary and is based on the physician's experience, strengths, and Division needs.

What you will do:

• Evaluate and consult on pediatric patients arriving in the Emergency Department
• Provide active management for pediatric patients requiring observation up to 48 hours
• Provide educational supervision to house-staff, students, paramedics, and EMT's on duty or on rotation in the Emergency Department
• Attend all Pediatric Code Blues
• Assist the neonatologist as needed in attending deliveries

What you will need:

• Education: U.S. accredited Pediatric Residency Program
• License: IL Medical License or License Pending
• Certification: Board certified or board prepared in Pediatrics (American Board of Pediatrics)
• Experience: Newborn Nursery Experience, ED or Immediate Care Experience (preferred)
