Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years of Operating Room experience required, Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center experience required License: Active RN license required Certifications: AHA BLS, CO or Compact RN license required Must-Have: No first-time travelers accepted. Epic experience required. Description: The ideal candidate must have a minimum of three years of Operating Room experience. Experience in a Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center is mandatory. Previous experience with the Epic charting system is essential. Travel experience is required. Candidates will be responsible for circulating various surgical procedures including general, GU/GYN, neuro, ENT, and plastics. Occasional floating to nights may be required, no more than three shifts per contract. Weekend coverage may be necessary based on unit needs. On-call requirements will be approximately three shifts during an eight-week schedule period. The operating room unit consists of 41 operating rooms and focuses on multiple types of procedures. Travelers should be willing to adapt to varying shifts and needs of the unit. Candidates must be skilled in circulating emergent craniotomies. A diverse array of surgical procedures will be performed in this role. Additional skills in spinal scrubbing and familiarity with trauma, orthopedic, and other specialties are advantageous. This position requires a commitment to patient care and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
