About the Position

Job Description:

We are currently hiring an experienced LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) for a medical-surgical (MS/Telemetry) unit at a leading acute care facility in Rochester, NY. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with a supportive clinical team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care with RN supervision
• Manage patient assignments in a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/peripheral line care
• Administer medications, including blood products
• Monitor telemetry and respond to patient condition changes
• Provide wound care, trach care, and feeding tube management
• Follow infection control and isolation protocols

Unit Details:

• Patient Ratio: 1:5–6
• Unit Type: Medical Surgical / Telemetry
• Patient Population: Complex care, ortho overflow, long-term patients

Schedule & Additional Info:

• Every other weekend required
• Must be available for every other holiday
• Floating required
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue & White
• Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per contract

Important Notes:

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Locals accepted at a reduced rate
• EPIC experience is a hard requirement
• RTO must be 10 days or less

Requirements

• Active New York LPN License (Required – not compact)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience
• EPIC charting experience required
• BLS Certification (Required)
• Must be comfortable with floating within the skillset
