Responsibilities
  • Lead the People Strategy efforts to help Genesis HealthCare become the best place to work in healthcare.
  • Coaching leaders, solving complex people puzzles, and driving employee retention.
  • Work within a Pod (a small cluster of nursing centers in close proximity) to build a culture where people feel seen, heard, and valued.
  • Spend the majority of time on the front lines (approximately 90%) to drive retention initiatives and reduce turnover by empowering nursing center leaders.
  • Translate Genesis values into daily actions as a Culture Architect, helping Nursing Home Administrators (NHAs) and Department Heads prioritize people.
  • Dive into turnover data to identify root causes and create actionable strategies to retain top talent.
  • Provide real-time coaching to Pod Leaders and nursing center leadership to resolve conflicts and build high-performing teams.
  • Manage the employee journey from onboarding to ongoing development to ensure a seamless, respectful, and rewarding experience.
  • Bridge corporate HR policies with local nursing center needs to ensure practices are equitable, compliant, and human.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five years of relevant HR experience, ideally in healthcare or a multi-site operational setting.
  • Proven knowledge of HR disciplines including compensation, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and employment law.
  • PHR or SHRM certification preferred.
