The Recreation Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences throughout the resort's pool, hot tub, beach, and waterfront areas. This position ensures all recreational spaces are clean, organized, safe, and welcoming while providing gracious, anticipatory service that reflects the luxury standards of The Lake Estate on Winnisquam.Recreation Attendants are expected to anticipate guest needs, provide warm and polished service, and create an environment where guests feel welcomed, cared for, and relaxed.  High potential candidates will be considered for year-round opportunities.   RESPONSIBILITIESGuest ServiceWelcome guests promptly and professionally upon arrival.Escort guests to available seating and assist with chair, towel, and umbrella setup.Provide information regarding resort amenities, pool and hot tub hours, waterfront activities, dining options, and resort events.Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive assistance throughout the day.Assist guests with mobility needs whenever appropriate.Coordinate guest requests with Food & Beverage and other resort departments.Maintain a visible presence throughout the pool and beach areas so guests can easily receive assistance.Pool & Beach OperationsPrepare all pool, beach, and waterfront areas prior to opening.Arrange lounge furniture and umbrellas according to resort standards.Stock and replenish towel stations throughout the day.Maintain cleanliness of decks, beach areas, docks, pathways, and recreational spaces.Collect used towels and remove trash regularly.Restock guest amenities as needed.Complete all opening, mid-day, and closing duties according to department procedures.Waterfront EquipmentPrepare kayaks, paddleboards, and other waterfront equipment for daily use.Verify guest eligibility prior to equipment checkout.Record equipment issued and returned.Explain proper equipment operation and safety expectations.Inspect equipment upon return and report damage immediately.Safety & Facility MonitoringObserve pool, beach, and waterfront areas for unsafe conditions and report to management immediately.Encourage compliance with posted facility rules.Report maintenance concerns promptly.Notify management of disruptive behavior or safety issues.Assist during inclement weather by securing equipment and informing guests of temporary closures.Understand that this position is not responsible for lifeguard duties.Teamwork & CommunicationCommunicate effectively with Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, Front Desk, and Management.Report guest concerns, incidents, maintenance needs, and notable guest interactions.Support other departments as needed to ensure exceptional guest experiences.Maintain accurate documentation for equipment checkout, lost and found items, and daily checklists.QUALIFICATIONSPrevious hospitality, resort, recreation, or customer service experience preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Friendly, professional, and guest-focused demeanor.Ability to remain calm and courteous in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to stand and walk for extended periods.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds.Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.Frequent bending, reaching, and moving lounge furniture and umbrellas.Ability to safely assist guests with recreational equipment.APPEARANCE & PROFESSIONAL STANDARDSEmployees are expected to maintain a polished, professional appearance consistent with The Lake Estate brand, including:Clean and pressed uniform worn at all times.Name badge visible while on duty.Neat and professional grooming.Lake Estate-approved hat may be worn.Minimal jewelry.Professional sunglasses can be worn but must be removed when greeting or speaking with guests whenever practical.Personal cell phone use is prohibited while on duty except for emergencies or business purposes.WORKING ENVIRONMENT This position works primarily outdoors around pools, beaches, docks, and waterfront recreation areas. Employees should be comfortable working in heat, sun, humidity, light rain, and other seasonal weather conditions.
