The selected Radiologic Technologist will divide their time between diagnostic imaging and clinical support responsibilities. Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities Prepare patients for radiologic examinations Escort patients to appropriate dressing and X-ray areas Explain imaging procedures and provide appropriate instructions Position patients and body parts accurately for diagnostic imaging Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic‑quality images Adjust exposure settings according to examination specifications Follow established radiologic requirements and regulatory standards Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout examinations Utilize appropriate radiation protection devices and safety measures Follow established radiology workflows Ensure radiology reports interface correctly with the EMR Complete required imaging and patient documentation Maintain radiologic equipment in proper working condition Report equipment malfunctions appropriately Complete required calibration and QA/QC procedures Maintain required equipment and quality‑control records Medical Assistant / Clinical Responsibilities Approximately 60% of the position will involve Medical Assistant‑level clinical duties, with particular emphasis on: Patient intake and clinical support Physical examinations/workflows Injury‑related visits Appropriate clinical documentation Working effectively within a fast‑paced patient care environment Candidates must have previous experience supporting physicals and injury visits . This should not be viewed as a traditional imaging‑department position where the technologist performs X‑rays exclusively. Candidate Requirements Appropriate active Arizona Radiologic Technologist licensure Current applicable Radiologic Technologist credentials Recent relevant clinical experience within the past 2 years Recent experience in a fast‑paced clinical environment Experience performing or supporting physicals Experience supporting injury‑related visits Comfortable performing both radiologic and Medical Assistant responsibilities Knowledge of radiation safety and patient protection Ability to properly position patients and obtain diagnostic‑quality images Familiarity with radiology QA/QC requirements and documentation Strong patient communication and clinical workflow skills Who Will Thrive in This Role This opportunity is particularly well suited for an RT who enjoys more patient interaction and clinical variety than a traditional imaging‑only assignment .
