2nd Assistant Golf Professional

Overview The 2nd Assistant Golf Professional at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course is a hands-on position designed for someone looking to grow their career in the golf industry. Working closely with the Head Golf Professional and professional staff, this position will be involved in all areas of the golf operation, including customer service, tournament operations, merchandising, player services, golf instruction, handicap administration, cart operations, and daily golf shop responsibilities . We are looking for someone who is dependable, energetic, enjoys working with people, and wants to continue developing as a golf professional . The position provides an opportunity to learn the business, teach and play golf, build relationships with our players, and become an important part of the culture at Buffalo Dunes. Experience Required Previous experience in golf operations, customer service, retail, tournament operations, or golf instruction is preferred but not required . Golf knowledge and playing experience are beneficial. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, good communication skills, and a desire to learn and grow within the golf industry . PGA membership, Associate status, or an interest in pursuing a career as a PGA Professional is preferred. Essential Responsibilities Assist with the daily operation of the Golf Shop , including tee times, golfer check-in, merchandise sales, pricing, organization, and customer service. Assist with golf tournaments, outings, leagues, and special events . Provide a welcoming, professional experience and communicate respectfully with all players and guests. Assist with golf instruction for players of varying ages and skill levels. Help manage the handicap system , pace of play, course policies, and player services. Assist with golf cart fleet operations , including issuing carts, organization, and basic maintenance. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional Golf Shop environment. Maintain playing proficiency and actively participate in the game of golf. Develop a thorough understanding of the overall golf course operation and assist the Head Golf Professional and professional staff as needed.
