Position Title: Trainer

Wage: $24.50 - $28.00/Hour

Shift: 2nd Shift


Hours: 03:00 PM - 01:00 AM Monday - Thursday OTs on Friday

Trainer Responsibilities:
- Ensure all new hires are greeted and welcomed upon their first day at the beginning of shift
- Conduct short tour of the production floor, lunchrooms, bathrooms, etc
- Introduce new hire to all Line Leaders and production team
- Position each new hire on a line and explain all positions on the line
- Assign a mentor
- Check on each new hire throughout the shift
- Initiate and complete all training documents
- Introduce line safety including housekeeping expectations
- Train to perform at standard rates of speed while producing acceptable levels of quality
- Follow all necessary and required production procedures
- Inform where emergency stop buttons are and to be aware of surroundings
- Explain and train quality procedures and cGMP's
- Perform line work when not training
- Use of tape gun and safety knife when needed
- Train employees on all safety training programs specific for the position, i.e., LOTO, and other trainings as required
- Train employees on timekeeping and labor tracking system
- May back up Production Supervisor

Requirements For Trainer:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Able to read, write and speak English
- One or more years of experience as a Trainer in a manufacturing environment
- Must be personable, work well with others and possess good communication skills
- Walk; reach above shoulders; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl up throughout shift
- Stand (all 8 hours of the shift or overtime as required); use hands to finger, handle or touch; and talk or hear 2/3 and more of the time
- Lift or force to be exerted up to 10 pounds 2/3 and more of the time
- Lift or force to be exerted up to 25 pounds 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
- Lift or force to be exerted up to 50 pounds 1/3 of the time or less
- Palletizing - up to 10 feet carrying full cartons and stacking them on a pallet. Also, dumping bottles, dumping a box of empty bottles into the hopper. Sometimes boxes are large and awkward - may have to lift overhead
- Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
- Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more)
