Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

Weyerhaeuser is seeking individuals who are committed to safety, have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic and a desire to work in a manufacturing facility. Key Functions:

• Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment using knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, welding and other related maintenance skills.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues throughout facility.
• Minimize downtime through completion of preventative maintenance tasks.
• Work with engineering drawings, electrical diagrams, simple and complex sketches, other related documents and verbal instructions needed to perform assigned duties.
• Perform work tasks from SAP generated work descriptions and orders.
• Demonstrate flexibility to perform various job roles within the maintenance department as assigned.
• Often work must be conducted from heights or within confined spaces.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Willingness to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime including nights, weekends and emergency call-ins as needed. Shift work may be required.
• Willingness and ability to perform the essential functions of the position, which include working at heights, climbing stairs and navigating catwalks, stooping and bending, occasionally exerting more than 100 pounds of force, and/or frequently exerting more than 50 pounds force working in an environment containing wood dust and extreme heat or cold.
• Ability and willingness to wear all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

Preferred:

• Degree from a vocational or technical school
• Electrical troubleshooting or repair experience
• Industrial maintenance experience

Training Opportunity: If you don't have prior maintenance experience, we'll invest in your development through a structured apprenticeship program during your first four years in the position.
