Financial Planning Specialist

Position Summary The Financial Planning Specialist role supports The Heitkamp Group at Focus Financial in delivering financial planning, investment implementation, and ongoing client service. This role is designed as a training and development position for future lead advisors and provides increasing exposure to client meetings, planning recommendations, and relationship management. Successful Financial Planning Specialists will have the opportunity to advance into an Employee Advisor role, managing client relationships and serving as a lead financial advisor. Key Responsibilities Prepare financial planning analyses via eMoney along with client meeting materials Attend client meetings and document action items Assist with portfolio implementation and investment recommendations Coordinate follow-up tasks with administrative and operations teams Maintain accurate CRM notes and workflows Conduct client outreach for reviews, updates, and service requests Develop knowledge of the firm’s investment philosophy and planning process Qualifications & Competencies Bachelor’s degree preferred Interest in financial planning and investment management Preference for applicants with financial planning software experience (ex: eMoney), tax planning knowledge, and/or fundamental and technical analysis expertise Strong communication and relationship-building skills High attention to detail Willingness to pursue industry licensing and CFP designation Preference for applicants with existing licenses/designations Performance Metrics Planning preparation accuracy Meeting participation Client follow-up completion Notes entered into CRM timely including review of AINotetaker note accuracy Positive feedback from clients and advisors Progress toward licenses/designations On‑time office attendance: this role is primarily in‑office #J-18808-Ljbffr Retirement Resource Center, LLC.
