Registered Behavior Technician

Job Description:

The registered behavior technician works in conjunction with the BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) to implement evidence-based practices with children designed to increase their skills and decrease their engagement in dangerous/harmful behavior.

All of our sessions are provided in the client’s natural environment, their schools and homes, where they feel the most comfortable.

The RBT will support their clients while using their training to teach them important life skills and work with them on alternate solutions to their problems so that they do not have to engage in harmful behaviors. The RBT will utilize de-escalation strategies, antecedent strategies, reinforcement, and acceptance and commitment therapy.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Registered Behavior Technician certification or ability to obtain certification prior to start date (we will assist with this)
• Reliable vehicle and driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check
• CPR certification or ability to obtain certification prior to start date
• Ability to perform frequent physical activity
