About the Role

Our client is a leading provider of title insurance, escrow, and real estate transaction services , supporting homebuyers, sellers, lenders, real estate agents, builders, and investors throughout the real estate transaction process.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Escrow Officer to join the team in Columbus, Ohio. This position is responsible for managing residential real estate transactions from contract through closing and post-closing.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing multiple transactions simultaneously. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, as the role involves working closely with lenders, real estate agents, buyers, sellers, attorneys, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage residential real estate transactions from opening through post-closing.

• Prepare escrow instructions, closing documents, and related transaction documentation.

• Review title commitments and assist with resolving title issues.

• Prepare and balance settlement statements and Closing Disclosures (CDs) .

• Coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, buyers, sellers, attorneys, and internal partners.

• Conduct real estate closings and ensure all documents are executed accurately and on time.

• Balance escrow files and ensure accurate and timely disbursement of funds.

• Ensure transactions comply with company policies, underwriting requirements, legal requirements, and regulatory standards.

• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the transaction.

• Maintain accurate and complete transaction records.

• Ensure files meet applicable underwriting and compliance standards .

• Communicate transaction status, requirements, and closing details to all relevant parties.

• Identify and resolve issues that could delay or impact closing.

• Manage multiple transactions while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of escrow and real estate closing experience preferred.

• Experience preparing settlement statements and Closing Disclosures (CDs) .

• Proven ability to balance escrow files and accurately disburse funds.

• Strong knowledge of title insurance, title clearance, escrow, and real estate closing procedures .

• Experience coordinating transactions with lenders, real estate agents, buyers, sellers, and attorneys.

• Notary Public certification or willingness to obtain certification.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously.

• Proficiency with title and escrow software platforms preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Additional coursework or certifications in real estate, escrow, title, or a related field is a plus.
