Surgical Tech

Overview JOB SUMMARY: Seeking a skilled and dedicated CVOR Tech to join a dynamic surgical team. This role is critical to the success of cardiac and vascular procedures, requiring proficiency in scrubbing all open-heart cases. Responsibilities Assist surgeons during cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures. Prepare and maintain the sterile operating field. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and hand instruments and supplies. Maintain proficiency in scrubbing all open-heart cases. Follow all sterile technique protocols to prevent infection. Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery. Manage and maintain surgical equipment and instruments. Schedule / Shift On-call: Required 1x/week with a 1 weekend per 6-week schedule. Weekends: Required as part of the on-call rotation. Required Qualifications Proven ability to scrub all open-heart cases. Preferred Qualifications Robotic experience preferred. Experience Experience in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting is essential. Skills Expertise in sterile technique. Proficiency in surgical instrument recognition and usage. Strong understanding of cardiac and vascular surgical procedures. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. EMR / Systems Epic Patient Population Adult and potentially Pediatric patients undergoing cardiac and vascular surgery. Unit / Specialty Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Floating / On-Call Floating between units is not expected. On-call is required as per the specified schedule. #J-18808-Ljbffr
