Details Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting Patient population includes orthopedic, bariatric, renal, and general surgery diagnoses, abdominal pain, and CHF exacerbations Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed Requirements Active GA or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day) If one or two major holidays fall during the assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested If three major holidays fall during the assignment, one holiday RTO request may be reviewed for approval Maximum RTO of 7 days, must be submitted with application Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate Must be away from all facilities within the health system for one full year before returning as a traveler Shift and schedule are firm with no alternate schedule requests permitted American Traveler Job ID P-749110.
