Truck Driver

Safely operate commercial box trucks and tractor-trailers for regional deliveries and pickups (primarily Rockford/Chicago loop).

Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections per DOT regulations.

Complete delivery paperwork, verify counts against Bills of Lading (BOL), and obtain customer signatures.

Maintain clean driver logs and immediately report mechanical defects or delays.

Assist Shipping & Receiving with loading/unloading incoming and outgoing freight.

Stage, organize, and move materials throughout the plant using forklifts.

Verify incoming freight against packing slips and stage jobs for production departments.

Maintain clean, organized, and safe dock and vehicle storage areas.

Make sure the repairs needed to the truck are immediately communicated.

Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Current DOT Medical Card (or ability to pass DOT physical and drug screen).

Commercial driving experience (box truck and/or semi) preferred.

Ability and willingness to obtain a Hazmat endorsement within a reasonable timeframe post-hire (company reimbursed) to transport crated customer assemblies (nitrogen-charged accumulators).

Forklift experience is a plus.

Must be able to speak, read and write English.
