In this multi-faceted role your diverse responsibilities will include troubleshooting, repair and maintaining mechanical components of production machines and equipment and performing general maintenance of the facility. This position requires a strong aptitude in the trade practices associated with occupations such as millwright, machinist, carpenter, mason, plumber, electrician, electronics repair, welder, painter, and other related trades. The Maintenance Mechanic plays a critical role within the company and will help ensure the plant’s machinery and facility is running smoothly.

Location: Mount Vernon, NY

Pay: $26–$31/hour

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on production equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspect machinery performance
• Respond to production maintenance needs in a timely manner
• Collaborate with engineers/operators to resolve issues and improve processes
• Complete general facility maintenance (light electrical, plumbing, carpentry)
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude
• Experience in manufacturing or machine maintenance preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and manuals
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask
• Team player with ability to work independently
• High school diploma or equivalent; basic computer skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift as needed
• Hands-on work requiring tools and manual dexterity
