This Billing Specialist role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with invoices, customer communication and process accuracy. Process and distribute daily customer invoices Review and validate billing documentation, including purchase orders, bills of lading, scale tickets and freight paperwork Monitor and manage billing-related email communications Research and resolve rejected invoices and customer billing discrepancies Maintain accurate electronic documentation and indexing records Respond to customer billing inquiries and provide exceptional service Collaborate with internal departments to ensure billing accuracy and timeliness Support additional accounting and administrative projects as needed What's needed? High school diploma or GED required Minimum two years of billing experience Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Experience with Great Plains software preferred Strong organizational and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Strong customer service and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Transportation or chemical industry experience is a plus What's in it for me?
